"Dr. Woodard is one of the best dentists I've been to in the Rockbridge County Area. I was super impressed with how much he interacted with my kids (4, 10, and 13) to help them feel comfortable. He went out of his way to make them feel at-ease using magic tricks, jokes, singing, etc. Seeing him was the first time my kids were laughing and having fun at the dentist instead of crying and feeling anxious. My youngest had a cavity and he talked to her about everything he would do to fix it in a way that made her excited to go back. The way he engaged her was remarkable. He treated her as the patient and me as the parent—addressing his explanatory remarks to her with kindness and respect.

Another remarkable aspect of the dental care we received from him is how he explained multiple options for each aspect of our treatment. In the past I have had dentists tell me that there was only one treatment option—usually an expensive and invasive procedure like a root canal and a crown. Dr. Woodard offered multiple options, stating the benefits and risks of each, and let us have a say in which path we chose. It feels good to have an amazing dentist I know I can trust."
